Important notice regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The WUWHS (World Union of Wound Healing Societies) Congress 2020 has been postponed until March 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide. This decision was made by the WUWHS organisers and as a result the JWC WUWHS awards ceremony will not go ahead with the planned date of 10th March.

The JWC WUWHS awards has been rescheduled for Friday 26th February 2021 and will take place in London. Thank you all for submitting such exciting and novel work, this will not go unnoticed or unsupported. We hope you will be able to join us for the ceremony.

All attendees have been contacted by email and we will be in touch in the near future to confirm new arrangements. 

Should there be any changes to the current recommendations from the WHO or Public Health England, we will review and share their instructions.

When do the entries close?

Entries are now closed and the shortlist has been announced.

What is the nomination and judging process?

All entries are anonymised prior to judging so please minimise the use of nominee(s) names when giving evidence, and use the third person (he/she/they).

Judging will be based on: 
  • Evidence of novelty/original thinking,
  • Evidence of a significant impact/benefit to the area or patients,
  • Evidence in the application or supporting document of the achievements described,
  • Suitability for the category entered.
Please Note for Dressing/Device Nominations:
  • Companies are invited to nominate a dressing or device that they believe has altered wound care facilitating healing and while being cost-effective,
  • This must be available in at least three territories,
  • This award will be judged by an independent panel of board members and KOL’s.

What happens after I have submitted my entries?

Once you have submitted your entries they will be processed by the awards team, ready for judging.
Once the judging has taken place in January 2020, we will announce a shortlist and invite those on the shortlist to the glittering awards ceremony on Friday 26th February 2021.

When are the winners announced?

The winners are announced at a ceremony on Friday 26th February 2021 in London. If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend this special event, so keep the date free in your diary.

Do I have to pay to attend the ceremony?

No, if you are a finalist you will receive a VIP invitation for two guests free of charge. You may purchase additional tickets for £125 + VAT if more than two people wish to attend.
